Consultant General and Vascular Surgeon

Mr Onwudike has been a Consultant General and Vascular Surgeon since 2000, with NHS practices at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust and Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He has extensive experience across all aspects of vascular surgery, including modern treatments for varicose veins, repair of aortic and peripheral aneurysms, bypass surgery for arterial disease, and carotid artery surgery for stroke prevention. He also performs minimally invasive thoracic procedures for excessive hand and axillary sweating and treats vascular conditions affecting the upper limbs, including thoracic outlet syndrome. He has published widely, presented at international conferences, and is highly regarded by his patients.

Madu Onwudike

Mr Onwudike is a member of the European Society for Vascular Surgery, the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland, and the European Venous Forum. His research interests include quality of life in patients with varicose veins, venous ulcers, and hyperhidrosis. He has published research papers and presented at national and international meetings. He is also an accredited trainer, examiner, and assessor for the Intercollegiate Membership of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons examination (MRCS) and the Joint Committee on Intercollegiate Examinations for the FRCS Vascular Surgery exit examination, both in the United Kingdom and overseas.

He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Medicine, University of Greater Manchester, and has trained numerous general and vascular surgeons who now practise independently as consultants in the UK and overseas.
