Urology services at Hale Private Clinic are provided by Prostate Health UK, an independent specialist urology provider led by a team of highly experienced Consultant Urological Surgeons.

Founded by Mr Alex Hoyle, Mr David Ross and Mr Mutie Raslan, Prostate Health UK brings together extensive expertise across the full breadth of modern urology. The team is known for its particular focus on men’s prostate health, offering advanced risk assessment, early diagnosis and personalised management of prostate conditions, alongside comprehensive care for a wide range of urological concerns in both men and women.

Care is delivered using state-of-the-art diagnostics and evidence-based treatment pathways, with access to advanced imaging, endoscopic procedures and minimally invasive surgical techniques, including robotic surgery where appropriate. Alex Hoyle at Prostate Health UK

Mr A P Hoyle

MBChB, FRCS (Urol), MD, PGcert (MedEd)

Mr Hoyle works as a consultant urologist and co-founder of Prostate Health UK with over 13 years clinical experience in the field. His urological interests are multifaceted, with particular focus on men’s prostate health and bladder cancer diagnostics. Mr Hoyle undertakes an NHS practice with subspeciality interest in pelvic benign and cancer conditions, including complex open and robotic bladder reconstruction. 

His professional qualifications include a doctorate of medicine in advanced prostate cancer treatment and a postgraduate certification in medical education.

Mr Hoyle offers a comprehensive urological service for both men and women presenting with the following urological symptoms;

  • Risk assessment for prostate cancer
  • Blood in the urine (visible blood, or blood on urine dipstick)
  • Male urination problems (difficulty passing urine, or passing urine too frequently)
  • Kidney related pain
  • Recurrent urinary tract infection (including epididymitis or prostatitis)
  • Pain or lumps in the scrotum
  • Pain or problems with the foreskin
  • Requests for vasectomy

Mr Mutie Raslan

Mr. Raslan is a consultant urological surgeon and co- founder of prostate health UK. He has over 10 years clinical experience in this field which has seen the development of a specialist practice in bladder cancer diagnosis and management. Mr Raslan has a broad urological expertise including minimally invasive robotic pelvic surgery.

Mr Raslan offers a comprehensive urological service for both men and women presenting with the wide range of symptoms:

Mr David Ross

MBChB, FRCS (Urol), MD, PG Dip(MedEd)

David is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and co-founder of Prostate Health UK. His clinical practice covers the breadth of general urology with a specific interest in men’s health and a subspecialty practice in kidney stones and endourology. His professional portfolio includes significant leadership roles in medical education and professional standards. His academic credentials include a Postgraduate Doctorate in Prostate Cancer Staging and receipt of the Keith Yeates Gold Medal.

David offers a comprehensive urological service for patients presenting with the following urological symptoms;
